Nike’s revival of the Jordan 1 Mid was one of the biggest footwear trends last year. Long considered the poor relation to its high-top counterpart, the mid-top Jordan is now an iconic silhouette that brings together any look. The Fearless Ones collection contributed big time to make that possible. Indeed, there was a very decent breadth of notable collaborators behind it. The Air Jordan 1 Mid Bred Toe is part of that movement.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid Bred Toe is the mid-top interpretation of a popular scheme on the Jordan 1 High. One of 15 colourways arrived from GS exclusives and OGs to several hugely limited collaborations, it sports a noble red color. There are however some noticeable differences compared with the high-top “Bred Toe”. It still arrives with plenty of old school charm!
The Air Jordan 1 Mid Bred Toe features a slightly darker shade of red than its high-top relative. The construction includes a perforated red leather toe box. Black leather overlays on the toe cap, eyelets, collar and heel bring a contrast to that noble red. Then, a crisp white leather mid-panel features a red leather Swoosh with additional red branding appearing on the collar. Jordan Brand laces the “Bred Toe” mid-top with a classic black nylon tongue that includes red Jumpman branding on the tongue tab.
The bold red outsole contrasts with the clean white rubber midsole finishes off the look. Then, white bases next to midsole walls of the same colorless hit add neutral by way of the classic, finishing an easy, more digestible entry in departure from some of the crazy pairs yet to drop. The Air Jordan 1 Mid Bred Toe released in January 2020.
